Product Description
A band separator that allows the use of a single VHF antenna for both VHF radio and AM/FM signal reception. The device is completely passive — it does not require power — and filters AM/FM signals from the VHF antenna without interfering with the operation of the VHF radio. Ideal when you do not want to install a separate AM/FM antenna.
- Passive device — no power required for operation.
- AM/FM cable: RG-62 approximately 10 feet (~3m) long, with a mounted Motorola connector.
- VHF cable: RG-58 approximately 3 feet (~0.9-1m) long, PL-259 connector (often supplied unmounted for easier routing through bulkheads).
- AM/FM impedance: ~93Ω.
- Compatible with all types of marine VHF antennas.
- Does not load the VHF radio during transmission — the AM/FM signal pickup point is not in the VHF signal line to the radio.
