The Garmin GDT™ 43 Depth and Temperature Transducer (NMEA 2000®) is a professional sensor designed for marine applications, enabling precise measurement of water depth and temperature. The device is compatible with the NMEA 2000® system, allowing direct integration with many modern navigation systems, displays, and autopilots on yachts, motorboats, and commercial vessels. The transducer is mounted outside the hull, usually near the keel, ensuring minimal impact of water turbulence and eddies on measurement accuracy. Installation requires drilling a hole in the hull, then securing the transducer with a special nut, which guarantees a watertight and durable connection.
