The Simrad NAC-3 VRF Core Pack is a complete Continuum solution for outboard or sterndrive vessels over 10 m in length. Thanks to Virtual Rudder Feedback (VRF) technology, installation is simplified — it does not require a mechanical rudder angle sensor. The NAC-3 autopilot computer controls hydraulic drives (RPU160, RPU300), mechanical drives (DD15), or solenoid valves, delivering 30 A continuous current (50 A peak). The Precision-9 solid-state compass provides heading and rate of turn data with ±2° RMS accuracy, refreshing at 10 Hz. Integration with NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 networks allows connection to multifunction displays, radars, and sonars, while automatic tuning and OptiCal™ compass calibration ensure quick setup and high accuracy.
